I know this totally dates me, and for the sake of MMQ, I’m ok with that fact. I remember riding in the back of a blue Chevy van with nothing in back but a mattress for us kids to sit on while my mom and her best friend drove us to swimming lessons listening to this song. Even back then I thought it was pretty catchy, and it’s probably one of the first songs I actually recognized on the radio when it came on. What’s the first song YOU remember liking?

There are plenty of songs out there that get me fired up – Du Hast by Rammstein, Enter Sandman by Metallica, or Dig by Mudvayne just to name a few. But when it comes to songs that really get my adrenaline up and make me want to just punch something (not in a violent destructive way, mind you – just an expression of energy, like in a mosh pit), there’s nothing that gets me quite like a song from Disturbed.

What song would you like to see done by another band, and what band would you like it to be?

Mine? For years I’ve thought that Rammstein could do an EPIC cover of “Obsession” by Animotion.

Monday Music Question – What ONE song would you say defines your adolescence?

I could have chosen several (Youth Gone Wild by Skid Row came to mind, as did Sanitarium by Metallica), but when it comes right down to it, I chose this one because it was in The Breakfast Club, and I completely identified with the message and the characters of that movie.

So, what single song would you say defines your teenage years?
